Earlsdon Running Club is a friendly and informal running club that likes to help beginners get off the ground and existing runners stay motivated. We’re here to motivate, educate and get you moving. We meet for all our runs at the Lean Body Vision studio.

RUNNIN CLUB SUSPENDED UNDER TIER 4 RESTRICTIONS

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

As of 31st December 2020 Coventry has been placed under tier 4 restrictions so all our classes are currently suspended. We will update as soon as we know we can re open. Remember, under tier 4 you can still meet one other person for a socially distanced run so please keep running :)

Remember, you will need to stay 2 metres apart from everyone in the group as well as people we pass while we run. Please try not to arrive too early so we are not hanging around together too long. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO ANY CLASS IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID19 SYMPTOMS including cough, high tempurature or loss of taste or smell.

Before you come to club even if you have been before please ensure you complete our new digital PARQ form. Everyone must complete this before running with us. It’s just a one off form. CLICK HERE to complete your PARQ online.

We set off as a group and then if some runners are faster we will loop back at times there is enough space to do so to help keep the group together.

6pm Beyond beginners 3-4km slow but continuous run £4.50 pay as you go
6.30pm Total beginners six week course. SUSPENDED. We will announce a new date as soon as we know.
7.30pm Intermediate 5-8km (see members group for exact distances each week) £4.30 pay as you go

Thursday
5.45pm Beyond beginners 3-4km slow but continuous run £4.50 pay as you go

SPEEDS

Total beginners – this is a course for complete beginners who are either totally new to running or perhaps haven’t done any for a long time. It is a six week course that gets you from being a total novice to being a runner with homework to complete between each class. The course runs at 6.30pm every Monday for six weeks and you will also be give homework to do between sessions. We go through running technique, breathing and core exercises as well as working through a a walk/run programme to build stamina and fitness. Next six week course: SUSPENDED TILL RESTRICTIONS ARE LEFTED

Beyond beginners – slow but continuous 3-4km runs for those who can run continously but don’t want to go too far or too fast. These classes have now returned. See below for booking details.

Intermediates – continuous running 5-8km distances for social runners. You must be able to run the distance continously but you don’t have to be very fast. We run as a group and get our fester runners to loop back to whoever is slower and then continue so we stay together. These classes have now returned. See below for booking details.

FOR TOTAL BEGINNERS
NEXT COURSE MON 22nd February 2021 and places are limited. This course will be reduced in size. The course runs at 6.30pm every Monday for six weeks and you will also be give homework to do between sessions. FOR HALF MARATHON TRAINING
New half marathon training date coming soon. You must be 7km ready and prepared to run three times per week (although some weeks it’s only twice).
