Earlsdon Running Club is a friendly and informal running club that likes to help beginners get off the ground and existing runners stay motivated. We’re here to motivate, educate and get you moving. We meet for all our runs at the Lean Body Vision studio.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Our club is finally re opening Monday 13th July 2020 after COVID 19 shut down but for now things will be different…

Our club is for total beginners, beyond beginners and intermediate runners who like to run but don’t take it or life too seriously. We are a social bunch who like to get together and keep each other accountable to stay fit and healthy. Please either watch the video below or read the decription below the video for how things now work post lock down.

We are now reducing class size numbers to 12, using online booking systems to pre pay, using online forms so no paper needs to be exchanged and of course staying socially distanced on our runs. For now our toilet and change facilities will remain closed (unless it is an emergency then of course you can use them and we will clean them afterwards) so please turn up on time and ready to run. Leave your belongings at home and just come ready to go. As everyone will have pre booked and pre paid we can start right on time, warm up and head out for a run. Remember, you will need to stay 2 metres apart from everyone in the group as well as people we pass while we run. Please try not to arrive too early so we are not hanging around together too long. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO ANY CLASS IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID19 SYMPTOMS including cough, high tempurature or loss of taste or smell.

Before you come to club even if you have been before please ensure you complete our new digital PARQ form. Everyone must complete this before running with us. It’s just a one off form. CLICK HERE to complete your PARQ online.

We set off as a group and then if some runners are faster we will loop back at times there is enough space to do so to help keep the group together.

Monday
5pm Beyond beginners 3-4km slow but continuous run £4.50 pay as you go
6pm Intermediate 5-8km (see members group for exact distances each week) £4.30 pay as you go
6.30pm Total beginners six week course. Next course starts Monday 7th Sept 2020. See below to book.

Thursday
5pm Beyond beginners 3-4km slow but continuous run £4.50 pay as you go
6.45pm Intermediate 5-8km (see members group for exact distances each week) £4.30 pay as you go

Saturday
There will be some Saturday morning runs but not every week. See members area for details

SPEEDS

Total beginners – this is a course for complete beginners who are either totally new to running or perhaps haven’t done any for a long time. Next course Monday 7th September 2020. It is a six week course that gets you from being a total novice to being a runner with homework to complete between each class. The course runs at 6.30pm every Monday for six weeks and you will also be give homework to do between sessions. We go through running technique, breathing and core exercises as well as working through a a walk/run programme to build stamina and fitness. See below to book.

Beyond beginners – slow but continuous 3-4km runs for those who can run continously but don’t want to go too far or too fast. These classes have now returned. See below for booking details.

Intermediates – continuous running 5-8km distances for social runners. You must be able to run the distance continously but you don’t have to be very fast. We run as a group and get our fester runners to loop back to whoever is slower and then continue so we stay together. These classes have now returned. See below for booking details.

FOR TOTAL BEGINNERS
BOOKINGS OPEN 27th JULY 2020 10am for Mon 7th Sept 2020 course.
